This microscope was manufactured by the Bausch & Lomb Optical Co. specifically for the surgical/medical instrument supplier Charles Lentz & Sons of Philadelphia (est. 1866). It is similar to the Bausch & Lomb Harvard model pictured on the right, but has the more elaborate substage usually associated with the Investigator model.
