This is a simple form of English case-mounted botanical or entomological microscope. It is unsigned by the maker. It is focused by sliding the stage up or down on the rectangular column. It is supplied with two screw-together objectives, which can be use singly or in combination to vary the magnification. Also included is a live box and three ivory specimen slides. The components are fitted in a sharkskin covered wood case with plush lining.
